This amp was previously tweaked by an electrical engineer who apparently forgot to add an filter capacitor for the driver stage per the original schematic. This was remediated by adding one.
The driver circuit was rebuilt with quality cf resistors and bypass caps. Notice the Russian PIO coupling caps.
The discrete 50 mfd/500 vdc caps were removed and replaced with a multi-sectioned electrolytic cap.
The exterior of the amp was out of the scope of this refurbish work. The amp looks a bit up from the outside, but it's solid internally. |
